Where's the furthest travelled for a wedding?

IBIZA- August 13th 2018, Villa Paissa d'en Bernat what a wedding, what an experience, what a team!

Myself and Katy over at Kiss the Bride Kate were privileged to be asked to beautify a very special Bridal party. We were so lucky to have six naturally beautiful girls to get ready in the most picturesque setting!

We flew out a couple of days prior to the Wedding to ensure we were there, our baggage was with us and we were all set for the big day! You pack your wedding case with your eyes closed normally, but getting on an aeroplane with it for some reason adds so much anxiety! But we were there, full kit with us and relaxing at a cute little adult only hotel find... The Beach Star Ibiza! I was 18 weeks pregnant, so it was going to be one of my last ever adult only hotels! When we got back, the hotel was all over social media, it was the hotel loads of Z listers were staying at... Oh and if you do go there, Pad Thai by the pool is a winner!

PRE WEDDING (UK)

The lead up to the wedding was great, the whole bridal party are very loyal clients at Bouclé (the salon Gina Lou is based from) and had been for many years so this was such a special day for us too and so grateful we could be a part of it. Trials were nice and convenient and we had the chance of perfecting the look before heading out to Ibiza.

I always recommend a trial 6-8 weeks before the Wedding day so you get a full feel for how everything will look together before the day itself. Trials I do tend to do in salon which works really well as you have the full pamper experience.

THE BIG DAY (IBIZA)

So the wedding day, how did it go?

It was effortless, with the absolutely stunning bride, we simply added a loose wave, kept the root lift to a minimum and added the strong centre parting. This look simply was to enhance and not change the brides usual look. We loved it, it complimented her and her overall style! The bridesmaids... well how lucky were we, all naturally beautiful, and each a with a different style, which was amazing to work with and create different hair ideas but that each tied in together! Got to admit I did love doing the full hair up, from a practical point of view in the heat it was a good choice!

The setting...

Take a look, breathtakingly beautiful, can completely see why the bride and groom fell in love with the venue! It really was a show stopper and so many different areas too that added special touches. The room to get ready in was very traditional which really added a great touch to pre wedding prep, and photos of course!

Talking of photos, the stunning professional images were captured by Dario Sanz Padilla! He was amazing, you didn't even know he was there, with the use of drones too to capture footage from the day from a different angle was something completely different to how I'd experienced wedding photography over the years... is this becoming a thing amongst wedding photographers, I hope so because its a great feature to add!

THE BRIDE... & THE DRESS!

How beautiful is the detail in the dress... want to see the back? Of course you do, it was purchased in Henley in Arden, Warwickshire at a lovely bridal boutique. The feedback we receive from there is all positive from the range of dresses to the helpful and non judgmental staff members! Despite it being in the town I live, I have never actually been in myself, but I honestly get so many of my brides talking about it!

so... the back...

How perfect is it, stunning lace detail, elegantly fitted, complimentary to the setting, the overall vibe, the characteristics of the bride, just perfection!

THE DESIGNER...

Can you guess? I'll give you a clue, some of the dresses have pockets! Yes pockets on a wedding dress, love love love the practicality!

Of course it's Jesus Peiro! One of my favourite Wedding Dress designers!

Destination Weddings.

So yes I do travel, and cater to suit your needs and budget, it all starts with an enquiry, I love to give you a bespoke quotation as a first point of contact, from there I offer a non obligatory consultation, and I feel this is so important before finalising bookings, your wedding day is special and your suppliers are part of that day forever, so you have to be comfortable with us! I really recommend getting the most out of that consultation too, ask all the questions, ask any advise, show me your pictures, ideas etc and I'll help! If you're happy and want to work with me, then your GINA LOU BRIDAL journey begins.
